Shoot on an overcast day, or in the same shade both times
The failure that gets called out in the comments every time is a before shot in direct sun and an after shot in shade. Natural daylight on an overcast day shows true paint clarity without harsh reflections, and it is the same in both frames.
Interior transformations out share exterior ones
A filthy footwell to a showroom footwell is a harder visual delta than corrected paint, and it needs no explanation to a viewer who knows nothing about swirl marks.
The half corrected panel is the strongest single frame you own
Tape a line down the bonnet, correct one side, and photograph both at once. It answers the fake accusation before anyone makes it, because both halves are visibly the same panel in the same light.
One local slot, permanently
A mobile detailer sells inside a radius. With five Instagram slots, a city tag is not optional, and the four remaining slots are where the rotation happens.
Seasonality
Spring and summer peak hard, autumn and winter demand drops off sharply. A content calendar that maps to it: winter salt removal in spring, paint protection in summer, weather prep in autumn, undercarriage work and gift cards in winter. Pivot to education in the slow months rather than going quiet.
Shooting a pair that survives the comments
Same angle, same distance, same light, and the car in the same position on the driveway. Move your feet and the reflection changes, which is the whole subject. For interiors, shoot with the door open the same amount both times, because the amount of daylight falling on a seat changes the apparent colour more than the cleaning does.
