Auto detailing on Facebook
Facebook hashtags for detailers
Facebook is the platform where a mobile detailer fills a Saturday, and the post that does it looks nothing like the Instagram one.
Two or three, and they are the least of it
This is the honest page. Facebook hashtags do very little: the platform has no hashtag-browsing culture worth the name, and reach on a business page comes from shares, local groups and comments instead. Two or three tags cost nothing and occasionally help a local search. Treat them as a footnote and put the effort into the caption.
The 3 to start with
Copy this set, then replace the last one with your own city or suburb tag. That single swap does more for bookings than the other 2 put together, because detailers sell inside a radius.

Facebook is the platform where a mobile detailer fills a Saturday, and the post that does it looks nothing like the Instagram one.
The frame that works is a customer car in a recognisable suburb with a caption explaining that the owner was about to trade it in and thought the paint was past saving. That is the caption template on this page, and it is written long because Facebook is the one platform where length helps. Same driveway position, same light, same rules as everywhere else.
Local groups and buy-and-sell pages do the distributing, and a detailer who answers a question in a comment converts more than one who posts a gallery. Cars are shared objects here in a way they are not on the other platforms: a neighbour tags a neighbour.
30 Facebook hashtags for detailers
Ranked, not alphabetical. The starter set leads, then the tags native to Facebook, then the before and after tags, then the niche tags that convert, then the broad ones that only categorise. Local and plain-language tags. Nobody on Facebook follows a hashtag, but a suburb tag can surface in search and reads as local rather than as spam.
Broad
5 in the poolMillions of posts. These reach far and convert badly. One is useful for categorisation, two is a waste of a slot you cannot spare.

The tags that say transformation
8 of the 30 Facebook tags for detailers say transformation rather than service, and they are worth a slot only when the post is a genuine pair rather than a finished shot. They are pulled out of the list above rather than added to it, so nothing here is double counted.

10 before and after captions for detailers
Written for a detailer posting a before and after on Facebook, not for a generic business feed, and not reused across all three platforms. Everything marked in a specimen is yours to fill in. A pair of photos or a short video, and a caption long enough to be worth reading. Facebook is the one platform where a longer caption helps.
This car belongs to a customer in suburb who was about to trade it in and thought the paint was past saving. It was not. The two photos below were taken job time apart in the same spot on the driveway.
A lot of what people call faded paint is really thousands of fine scratches catching the light. Once those are levelled out, the colour comes back, which is exactly what you are seeing between these two photos of the same car.
For anyone curious about what happens between the before and after: wash, clay, machine polish in sections, then a protective layer over the top so the finish holds for a while. About job time all up.
I have a few service spots left around suburb this season. The photos below are what a standard booking at price looks like, before and after, same afternoon.
Most of my work comes from people in suburb showing their mates a photo like this one. Thank you to whoever passed my number on for this car.
Honest question for suburb: does the before photo look like your car a day or two after a wash? For a lot of people it does, and that gap is the whole point of a proper detail.
Took me job time and three coffees, and most of that was the polishing stage that never makes it into a photo. The after gets all the credit for work you cannot actually see.
If your car is looking closer to the first photo than the second, send a few pictures through and I will come back with a price and a rough time.
season around suburb means road grime, tree sap and dust in every vent. Here is one interior and exterior before and after, same car, same day.
I will be honest, the before photo is the reason I got this job. The owner sent it to me and asked whether anything could be done with a car that looked like that.
The rest of it does not change with the platform
How this trade posts, when the season turns, how to stand for the two frames and which tags to keep off the post are the same answers on Instagram, TikTok and Facebook. They live once, on the trade hub, so this page can be about the one thing that is genuinely different here.

Common questions
- How many hashtags should detailers use on Facebook?
- This is the honest page. Facebook hashtags do very little: the platform has no hashtag-browsing culture worth the name, and reach on a business page comes from shares, local groups and comments instead. Two or three tags cost nothing and occasionally help a local search. Treat them as a footnote and put the effort into the caption. The starter set at the top of this page is built to that number: One local, one trade, one plain descriptive.
- What should a detailer post on Facebook?
- Facebook is the platform where a mobile detailer fills a Saturday, and the post that does it looks nothing like the Instagram one. The frame that works is a customer car in a recognisable suburb with a caption explaining that the owner was about to trade it in and thought the paint was past saving. That is the caption template on this page, and it is written long because Facebook is the one platform where length helps. Same driveway position, same light, same rules as everywhere else.
- What will Facebook not do for detailers?
- Number plates are in almost every exterior frame in this trade. Crop or blur them, ask before you post somebody car, and remember that this is the one platform where the owner is likely to see the post and be recognised in it.
- Are these Facebook hashtags for detailers up to date?
- Every tag on this page was seen in real use during a research sweep on 1 August 2026, across trade press, supplier blogs, platform discover pages and live captions. No tag here was invented and no post counts are quoted, because the directory sites that publish counts contradicted each other badly enough to make any single figure indefensible.
- How do I turn a before and after pair into a video?
- Pick the two photos in Before and After Video Maker, choose a reveal style, and export a 1080p video, a looping GIF or a still. The input is two still photographs: the app cannot compare two video clips, and nothing on this site suggests otherwise.
Now make the video in Before and After Video Maker
Pick the before and the after, choose a reveal, and export a 1080p video, a looping GIF or a still sized for Facebook. The free tier covers a starter set of templates and all four comparison modes, and the input is two still photographs.
