Carpet and upholstery cleaning on Facebook

Facebook hashtags for carpet cleaners

The richest transformation vocabulary of any trade on this site, and the largest satisfying audience. Ranked tags per platform, ten caption templates, and the release form nobody remembers to get.

How many, on Facebook

Two or three, and they are the least of it

This is the honest page. Facebook hashtags do very little: the platform has no hashtag-browsing culture worth the name, and reach on a business page comes from shares, local groups and comments instead. Two or three tags cost nothing and occasionally help a local search. Treat them as a footnote and put the effort into the caption.

Start hereOne local, one trade, one plain descriptive.

The 3 to start with

Copy this set, then replace the last one with your own city or suburb tag. That single swap does more for bookings than the other 2 put together, because carpet cleaners sell inside a radius.

30 Facebook hashtags for carpet cleaners

Ranked, not alphabetical. The starter set leads, then the tags native to Facebook, then the before and after tags, then the niche tags that convert, then the broad ones that only categorise. Local and plain-language tags. Nobody on Facebook follows a hashtag, but a suburb tag can surface in search and reads as local rather than as spam.

Millions of posts. These reach far and convert badly. One is useful for categorisation, two is a waste of a slot you cannot spare.

These are the ones worth a slot when the post is a genuine pair rather than a finished shot. They are pulled out of the list above rather than added to it, so nothing here is double counted.

Captions10 templates, written for Facebook

10 before and after captions for carpet cleaners

Written for a before and after post specifically, not for a generic business feed, and shaped for Facebook rather than reused across all three platforms. Anything in curly braces is yours to fill in. A pair of photos or a short video, and a caption long enough to be worth reading. Facebook is the one platform where a longer caption helps.

This rug belongs to a family in {suburb} who had already priced up a replacement. They let me try first, and the two photos below were taken {job time} apart in the same corner of the room.
story
The reason a {carpet} looks tired down the hallway and fine under the couch is traffic, not age. Both photos here are the same {carpet}, and the only difference is that the pile has been lifted and rinsed.
education
For anyone wondering what sits between these photos: pre spray the whole {carpet}, work it in, hot water extraction in overlapping passes, then groom the pile so it dries evenly.
process
The before and after below is a standard three room job, and jobs that size usually land around {price}. Books are open around {suburb} for the next few weeks.
offer
The family who owned this {sofa} sent the before and after to their group chat and I picked up two more jobs by the weekend. That is basically my entire marketing plan.
socialproof
Which of these two photos looks more like the {carpet} in your hallway? Most homes I walk into sit somewhere in the middle.
question
Took {job time}, moved every piece of furniture twice, then moved it all back. The after photo makes the day look tidy and effortless, which is a generous edit of events.
behindthescenes
Have a {stain} you have given up on? Send a photo of it and I will tell you straight whether it is worth booking or whether the money is better spent elsewhere.
cta
{season} is hard on floors around {suburb}, and hallways take the worst of it. Here is one before and after so you can see what a proper clean pulls out of the pile.
seasonal
I nearly did not post the before photo because it looks staged. It is not. That is just what a hallway {carpet} looks like after a few years of everyone walking the same line.

What actually works for carpet cleaners

Tight framing beats wide

The tighter the shot, the more the transformation pops. A wide shot of a whole lounge room hides the change; a close crop of one traffic lane shows it. This is the most consistent production note in the trade press.

Carousels beat single images, because the swipe is suspense

Authentic on site footage significantly outperforms stock, and a carousel that makes the reader work for the reveal outperforms a single split image.

Three to five posts a week, and the ASMR format has rules

Feature the same team member consistently so the account builds a face. Use trending audio but mute it when the sound of the work is the point. Keep some format variety so the account is not purely ASMR.

Get a release before you film inside a home

This trade films interiors, which is a legal exposure the exterior trades do not have. Most cleaners miss it. Put it in the booking confirmation and it stops being a conversation you have to have on the doorstep.

Seasonality

Double peaked and sharper than the other cleaning trades. March to June is primary and September to November is secondary, with a smaller spike right after New Year and a move out bump through May to August. Run springcleaning framing from February and switch to holiday guest framing from late September.

The shotthe part no hashtag fixes

Shooting a pair that survives the comments

Do not move the furniture between frames, or if you must, move it back before you shoot the after. The single strongest frame in this trade is the half cleaned one: one wand pass down the middle of a traffic lane, photographed before you finish. It is impossible to fake and it needs no caption.

The universal rule underneath all of that, stated independently by sources in every trade researched for this site: identical angle, identical lighting, both frames. Any variance and the transformation reads as dishonest. There is more on that in the guide to matching the shot twice and in why before and afters look fake.

Do not use these7 flagged tags

Tags to keep off a carpet cleaner post

Instagram publishes no official banned list and gives no warning when a tag is restricted. Every tag below was flagged by at least one source during research on 1 August 2026, and these lists rotate. Check any tag you use habitually by searching it inside the app: if the tag page says recent posts are hidden, or returns almost nothing, drop it.

  • #nastyFlagged, and observed in live carpet cleaner captions. Dirty is not on any list I could verify but sits close to the same moderation, so keep it off Instagram.
  • #showerFlagged, and reached for on bathroom and tile crossover work.
  • #glovesFlagged, and a natural PPE and process tag.
  • #rateRate this clean is exactly the caption this trade writes, and the tag is flagged.
  • #dmDM for a quote is standard here and both dm and direct are flagged.
  • #dogsofinstagramFlagged, and the obvious tag when the job was a pet stain and the dog is in frame.
  • #cleaningtiktokNot banned, and TikTok lists it as related to cleantok, but it is a bot magnet with heavy spam density and almost no buyer intent. Cleantok carries the same audience with better signal.

Where these tags came from

Researched on 1 August 2026. Tiers are an editorial judgement from cross source frequency, not a post count: the directory sites that publish counts disagreed with each other by an order of magnitude during research, so none are quoted here.

Common questions

How many hashtags should carpet cleaners use on Facebook?
This is the honest page. Facebook hashtags do very little: the platform has no hashtag-browsing culture worth the name, and reach on a business page comes from shares, local groups and comments instead. Two or three tags cost nothing and occasionally help a local search. Treat them as a footnote and put the effort into the caption. The starter set at the top of this page is built to that number: One local, one trade, one plain descriptive.
Are these Facebook hashtags for carpet cleaners up to date?
Every tag on this page was seen in real use during a research sweep on 1 August 2026, across trade press, supplier blogs, platform discover pages and live captions. No tag here was invented and no post counts are quoted, because the directory sites that publish counts contradicted each other badly enough to make any single figure indefensible.
Can I just paste all thirty into one post?
No, and on Instagram you physically cannot: the cap is five and it counts captions and comments together. The thirty on this page are a rotation pool. Take the starter set, swap one or two per post to match what you actually photographed, and keep your location tag in place permanently.
How do I turn a before and after pair into a video?
Pick the two photos in Before and After Video Maker, choose a reveal style, and export a 1080p video, a looping GIF or a still. The input is two still photographs: the app cannot compare two video clips, and nothing on this site suggests otherwise.

Now make the video in Before and After Video Maker

Pick the before and the after, choose a reveal, and export a 1080p video, a looping GIF or a still sized for Facebook. Eight templates and all four comparison modes are free, and the input is two still photographs.
